People are most moved to give while they are in the masjid: after a khutbah about charity, during a Ramadan night, or walking past the construction fence. The problem has always been that the donate button is on a website they will not remember to open later.
One scan opens the chat
Your giving page has a QR code that opens WhatsApp with a message to your masjid already written. The donor sends it, gets a payment link and is done before they reach the car park.
Where to put it
- The entrance and shoe racks: the places everyone pauses.
- The sisters' section and the wudu area: often forgotten, always busy.
- Next to the project itself: on the construction fence, the old carpet, the classroom door.
- Flyers and the weekly newsletter for people who give from home.
Make it easy to scan
Print the code large, at eye level, with good light and plenty of white space around it. Add one line of text: “Scan to give on WhatsApp.” Test it on an old phone before you print a hundred copies.
Let the imam mention it
A ten-second reminder after Jummah, “the QR code is by the door, it opens WhatsApp”, does more than any poster on its own. People scan while the intention is fresh.
